 | About Pembrokeshire |
|
Pembrokeshire is a county in the South West of Wales with coast on three sides and Ceredigion on the remaining side. Pembrokeshire has a population of over 117,000 and a land mass of 987 sq miles. Major settlements are Tenby, Milford Haven, Pembroke and Fishguard.

Pembroke Castle is a Norman keep built in 1093, on the site of a Roman settlement. It became the property of the 1st Earl of Pembroke Gilbert de Clare and later passed to the Tudors where King Henry VII was born.
Pembrokeshire is a place dominated by the sea with large natural bays such as Milford Haven, St Brides bay and Newport Bay, and it also boasts extensive National Park wilderness areas. |
