East Renfrewshire is a county in Scotland which borders on Glasgow, Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire. East Renfrewshire is one of the smallest counties in Scotland both in terms of land mass (67 sq miles) and population (just over 89,000).
The largest residential area in East Renfrewshire is Barrhead with a population of just over 19,000 inhabitants. Barrhead is an area of mining and textile production although there are also travel agents (Barrhead Travel), Brewers (Kelburn Brewing Company and JM Murdoch) plus East Renfrewshire council.
Other towns and villages include: Busby, Giffnock, Clarkston, Eaglesham and Newton Mearns.
