 | About North Lincolnshire |
|
North Lincolnshire is a small county in the North of England on either side of the River Trent with a population of 159,000 and borders on Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
Industries in the area include fishing, various service industries and heavy industry.
The Humber Bridge is the fifth largest suspension bridge in the world and spans 4,600 feet across the Humber Estuary (where the Rivers Tent and Ouse join). The work was completed in 1971 by Sir William Arroll & Co and features a dual carriageway road and pedestrian footpaths. Tolls on the bridge have failed to clear the debt arising from its construction. |
